SUMMARY

An entry-level accountant position that will provide full time support to EMGs Accounting Department. Duties will include, but not limited to AP voucher processing, AP payment processing, AR batch invoicing, administrative filing and scanning for the Accounting department, reviewing Purchase Order and maintaining the PO log and assigned accruals, collection calls and mailings. This position will be in Scottsdale, Arizona.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Prepare Accounts Payable Vouchers and Disbursements for EMG vendor invoices.
* Responsible for entering all bank activity into accounting software (Deltek Vision).
* Enter, code, and maintain A/P and Vendor records via project accounting software (Deltek Vision).
* Responsible for daily Accounts Receivable batch invoicing.
* Assisting with the month end close process to ensure all closing deadlines are met in a timely manner. Provide vendor policy guidance and communications to EMG teammates.
* Ensure proper authorization and documentation of expenditures. Leverage technology to increase accuracy and efficiency of Accounts Payable data entry.
* Ensure the proper coding of expenses in relation to accounts, projects, and budgets.
* Utilize reporting tools to provide reports and a/p expenditures/disbursement data to Directors and Managing Partners.
* Improve and maintain purchase order system for expenditures.
* Protects operations by keeping company information confidential.
* Delivers outstanding customer service through timely response and proactive solutions to client and vendor needs.
* Develop and improve procedures, both proactively and in response to the changing needs and requirements of both internal employees and external clients and vendors. Question processes and recommend improvements.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

* Bachelor's degree with minimum of (1) year accounting experience
* Advanced Excel skills are a must (VBA Macro and Pivot Tables)
