Job Description

Description

Students in these roles will have the opportunity to support Electronics Engineers with the technical execution and project management for new product development of embedded microprocessor-based electronics software and/or hardware, as well as designing circuits to interface between the National Instruments Test equipment and the compressors. (Multiple Positions Available)

Responsibilities:

* Constructing and trouble-shooting circuit designs, from the engineers, on breadboard.
* Troubleshooting electronic field returns
* Performing Functional Testing, Simulation testing, and Compressor Integrated testing.
* Perform Data collection and analysis of the field test electronic modules and help project engineers with the debugging and troubleshooting of modules.
* Assist in Regulatory testing (UL & CE)
* Root Cause Analysis of CE modules
* Support testing and verification of technical readiness levels for the product features requirements.
* Assembling hardware, soldering and firmware updating may be required to perform tasks.



Requirements

Basic:

* Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Engineering or related field
* Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher
* Able to work 40 hours a week (Monday - Friday from 8am - 4:30pm) during the scheduled semester

Preferred:

* Undergraduate student pursuing a BS in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
* Strongly prefer a GPA of 3.0 or higher
* Sophomore or higher class status preferred
* Strong oral and written communication skills, analytical and decision making skills, and PC skills including Microsoft Office
* The candidate should have hands-on experience in constructing circuits from breadboards.
* Soldering experience is highly preferred.
* Reading schematics is highly preferred.
* Knowledge on how to operate a scope is highly preferred.
