Job Description


Our entry level engineer provides engineering support for our Pressure Management business unit on New Product Development (NPD), Product Modification (PM), Cost Reduction (CR), Perform Customer Requested Testing (T&E) or comparable projects. Their responsibilities include performing function specific engineering activities and providing technical support to Operations, Sales, Marketing, and other Engineering functions. They are responsible for managing their workload to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks.

Specific Job Description- Test & Evaluation Engineer

The Test and Evaluation Engineer I will be responsible for developing and executing test plans for NPD, PM, CR, or comparable projects. This includes performing laboratory test work, documenting test procedures and setups, capturing results via advanced data acquisition systems, and drawing logical conclusions based on findings. They will use superior communication and technical writing skills to inform project teams of test results and generate formal laboratory reports documenting findings. Additionally, the Test & Evaluation Engineer I will be responsible for designing and procuring fixturing as needed to accomplish test work and is expected to perform various T&E facility upgrades and maintenance as required.

* Laboratory Safety - Demonstrates a high regard for all facets laboratory safety and is committed to ensuring self and others are following safety protocols. Participates in regular training events to build and maintain safety knowledge set.

* Product Development Testing - Interprets Marketing Requirement Specifications and industry standards to develop and execute detailed test plans required for product validation. Applies broad product knowledge to improve new product designs to optimal levels. Clearly communicates findings and conclusions through presentations and laboratory reports.

* Product Support - Tests and evaluates design and application related product problems for assigned projects and requests. Evaluates product improvements and recommends changes as required. Provides engineering and technical support to other departments, customers and suppliers.

* Structured Problem-Solving Tools - Uses scientific problem solving techniques and tools for the execution of normal work tasks.


* High regard for safety in workplace and laboratory environments required.
* BS Degree in Engineering required. BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent preferred.
* 0-2 years of relevant engineering experience preferred.
* Background in Material Science and Application preferred.
* Working knowledge of Finite Element Analysis, Computational Fluid Dynamics, Computer Aided Design, 3D Printing and/or Minitab preferred.
* High mechanical aptitude.
* Excellent written and verbal skills to facilitate effective communication of technical ideas to management teams.
* Interpersonal skills to allow one to work with a wide range of individuals at all levels.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
* Ability to Travel Domestically and Internationally (0%-10%)
