Description

Emerson's Enterprise Service Management Platform team is driving the digital transformation within Emerson IT by providing technology enablement, delivery leadership, and support for platforms supporting enterprise service delivery and operational processes.

Technology Enablement - Create, launch and scale digital solutions for the business of IT

Delivery Leadership - Provide technical and business analysis services to optimize business processes.

Administration & Support - Provide administration and support services to keep business processes running

The IT Business Analyst in this role will have a high degree of influence and visibility. The successful candidate will work closely with cross functional teams in several world areas and business units to drive digitization of IT processes. The successful candidate will be use data to influence right decisions and drive needed change. This role will have responsibility for business analysis as well as leading quality assurance with focus on automated testing.

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

* Work very closely with IT teams to understand business requirements and create business requirements and functional design documents


* Create and present functional and technical design including data analysis to business team, and gather feedback to influence solution design and approach


* Work with Development team to build/test the application/s on ServiceNow platform based on business requirements.


* Perform gap analysis: as is vs. to be and facilitate requirements gathering and process mapping workshop


* Document functional business requirements, process flow diagrams, and business cases


* Manage relationships with multiple teams for new solution features and technical support


* Participate in end to end implementation planning including project management, issue management, communication and change management


* Develop, review QA and UAT test scripts. Work with automated testing group to develop automated testing.


* Managing UAT with end users including coordination and user acceptance signoff


* Preparation of user documentation and training documentation as necessary


* Leverage business knowledge and expertise to drive business process improvements


* Accountable for the timely delivery of projects as per established roadmaps by working closely with the business teams


* Use data to drive improvement opportunities, decisions and change.
* Develop strong understanding of ServiceNow applications, modules, capabilities and licensing model to be able recommend appropriate solutions.
* Support subscription and license management including working with key stakeholders to forecast license demand and work with Vendor Management Office for purchase or renewals.
* Help support annual planning and budgeting process.

Requirements

EDUCATION / LANGUAGE

* Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Business Administration or any related field or Associates Degree with 8 years IT Experience.

Experience/Skills

* Two (2) or more years of IT related experience, such as business or quality analyst or One (1) or more years of experience on ServiceNow platform as consultant, developer, or architect
* Experience modeling business processes using a variety of tools and techniques


* Experience in testing for features, security, upgrade, and performance


* Ability to design, create and implement automated test cases for new & existing requirements


* Ability to articulate big picture approach to solutions and solution-oriented thinking


* Champion ideas and ability to influence others towards consensus, action, and change

Experience on ServiceNow Automated Testing Framework (ATF) is a nice to have


* Experience in the Business Management (ITBM) space including PPM, GRC, Performance Analytics and Financial Management is a plus

Agile and Business Analysis Certification is a plus

ITILv3 certified is a plus
