Job Description

Primary Objective of Position:

Under moderate supervision and at a fully competent level, designs, builds and installs mechanical and electro-mechanical tools and equipment calibrating flow and density technologies. This starts by creating and revising initial concepts, through prototype, Alpha, Pilot builds and continues into full production.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

* Design automated mass flow and density calibration machines including fluid handling, mechanical, and electro-mechanical machine design from definition to manufacturing.
* Work with manufacturing engineers and documentation personal.
* Works cross functionally with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers, and other key product development contributors
* Automate calibration equipment functionality to improve performance, reliability, and troubleshooting.
* Work with internal IT personnel to resolve IT issues related to calibration equipment performance.
* Help manage control system software, programming, and license issues.
* Provide guidance in electrical design and implementation.
* Participate in control system programming efforts world-wide.
* Help test, debug, and revise new machine designs based on testing before final release into production
* Help maintain and support existing products throughout product life cycle both stateside and abroad
* Maintain engineering drawings and documentation for equipment for all global sites
* Lead or contribute to the implementation of new calibration systems world-wide.


* Must have strong technical skills in appropriate engineering field, and a demonstrated track record of successfully assisting with and completing engineering projects.
* Excellent team work and communication skills.
* Ability to balance & prioritize multiple tasks & projects.
* Willingness to travel up to 8 weeks throughout the year.


* Two years of control system, electrical, mechanical or electro- mechanical design experience.
* Foundational experience in mechanical engineering and a breadth of experience, exposure and/or understanding of other engineering disciplines strongly preferred.
* Solidworks and fluid systems experience is desireable.
* Experience designing or maintaining electrical, mechanical or software systems.
* Experience creating and maintaining control systems.
* Experience creating manufacturing drawings and bill of materials.


Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science or Physics required.
