Job Description

Summary:

* Provides Large Group ER pricing support
* Provides Jumbo Account pricing support
* Provides Ancillary products pricing support
* Supports financial performance and trend analyses

Accountabilities:

* Responsible for pricing and filings of existing and new products (non-jumbo accounts)
* Collaborates with Account Management and Underwriting in management of critical accounts
* Develops periodic analysis and reporting of hospital, professional, and ancillary trends
* Analyzes drug claim experience, measures pharmacy costs and utilization levels and trends
* Tracks financial variance of actual experience against budget and forecast projections
* Develops Large Group Experience budget and forecasts

Qualifications: Skills & Knowledge:

* Strong understanding of actuarial principles and methodologies along with good mathematical and analytical skills
* Knowledge of the Health Insurance industry
* Experience with health insurance rate development
* Knowledge of pricing methodologies
* Excellent written and verbal communicator
* Actuarial pricing experience with commercial business, especially Experience Rated Groups
* Demonstrated team player

Requirement:

* Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Economics, or similar major; advanced degrees a plus
* Associate of Society of Actuaries
* 5+ years actuarial health insurance experience
* Proficient in Excel and SAS
