Procurement Intern - Savanna

We are targeting students completing their sophomore or junior year of college who are interested in working in a dynamic and engaging work environment to participate in our internship program. Elkay interns will apply the skills and knowledge developed in college while contributing to exciting real world projects!

The Procurement Intern will be exposed to the Purchasing and Global Sourcing department within Elkay's Supply Chain and will support them through work on various projects throughout the summer. The student will provide support by performing the following duties:

* Source for potential suppliers and expand on the information in the supplier database
* Identify potential sources of supply including determining the capabilities of a potential supplier
* Present findings/supplier offerings to key department staff

At the end of the assignment, the student should have a good understanding of supplier value, product, and service offerings.

We are targeting students completing their sophomore or junior year of college. Students completing their freshman year may apply, but we prefer students already into their core curriculum.

Qualifications:

* Students completing their sophomore or junior year working toward a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Engineering or International Business strongly preferred
* Must be able to work 40 hours per week
* Ability to work with others, but highly self-motivated to achieve individual tasks efficiently
* Excellent verbal communication skills; strong attention to detail a must
* Computer skills including excellent skills with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
* GPA desired: 3.0 or better
