Job Summary:

In this position, you will:
Develop applications for a high-volume consumer website for a high-profile, nationally recognized, very profitable Internet company Leverage a variety of data-management paradigms, including relational, key-value, and document-oriented stores Build out realtime, online and offline systems that work together using technologies like Kafka, RESTful Micro-services and In-memory datastores. Work with innovative new technologies (e.g. Spark, Kafka, Mesos, Dropwizard, Play Framework etc. NoSQL stores like MongoDB, Redis and Voldemort) Code day-to-day in Java, and other languages too, including Ruby, Groovy, and Scala Work with leading open platforms, including Linux, the JVM, Spring, and Hibernate Directly impact product features and direction in a fast-paced collaborative environment
The successful candidate will have:
BS or MS in Computer Science from top-tier university Be excited about designing and building for high-scalability, in space or time Have Good understanding of common Design Patterns, Algorithms and Data Structures Be Fluent with programming languages like Java, Scala, Groovy Enjoy everything about technology, be an engineer at heart Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-effort, dynamic work environment Fast learner of new and emerging technologies Contributions to open-source projects would be a plus.
