Job Description:

ETS is offering an exceptional opportunity through an internship in our Information Technology division. This internship can help you jump-start your career and gain an edge over the competition even before you graduate. The purpose of ETS's Internship Program is to provide an entry-level portal into our organization where you will experience learning and development opportunities. The IT Talent Pipeline Program is based on a project-centered design, which takes into account best practices for internship programs that yield both exceptional learning experiences for the participant and valuable performance information for future opportunities. All IT interns will experience a common calendar of events, while each participates in a custom, relevant project that contributes to IT business goals and objectives.

Interns will work 40 hours per week, under the direction of a mentor. Through your assignment, you will be exposed to IT processes that support the business of educational testing and assessment.

Housing and transportation are not provided with this internship.

As an IT Enterprise Resiliency intern, you will work with the team to leverage existing smart device capabilities and implement them to improve the support of the Enterprise Resiliency Program. For example, you may be asked to make current Fusion BC/DR planning information available on a smart phone/device. This project can enhance the investment value of existing tools that support the Enterprise Resiliency program.

Key Objectives:

1) Identify current leverageable capabilities (no cost features that are not currently being exploited).

2) Prototype the usage of the identified capabilities for decision making

3) Implement and integrate at least one feature that provides resilience information to a smart device

Experience and Skills

Competencies/Skills Needed:

Undergraduate Student majoring in Computer Science (information systems) with an interest (minor) in Homeland Security, Emergency Management or Business Continuity. Skills in using, configuring and deploying technology solutions would be helpful.

Expected Project Results/Metrics:

ETS Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery stakeholders will have access to timely and relevant BC/DR/EM information on the smart phones and devices.
