Job Description

Position Summary

The HR Intern will provide support to the Dover Human Resources team. Responsibilities will include leading a project to update and develop HR Workplace Training, assisting with recruiting and onboarding, and supporting the team with daily tasks.

This is a full-time intern opportunity. Work hours are flexible, but will typically between 8:00am - 5:00pm. Rate of pay: $15/hour

Specific Accountabilities

* Assist with recruitment process to include:
* Reviewing application submittals, sourcing qualified candidates utilizing job boards, social media and creative search techniques.
* Evaluating new tools and technologies for internet research and candidate attraction.
* Managing the interview process, ensuring the candidate experience is positive from application to hire. Perform candidate pre-screens and onsite interviews. Develop and maintain relationships with real and potential candidates to maintain credibility and sell the opportunity.


* Assist with Performance Review cycle for hourly colleagues
* Assist with developing and implementing training to develop workforce culture
* Communicate regularly and with clarity with HR business partners, management, cross-functional teams and potential candidates.
* Provide administrative support to HR department, to include record keeping, database and file maintenance, reporting, and correspondence.
* Other duties may be required as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience

* A high school diploma or equivalent, and 1-2 years education in an accredited degree program majoring in Human Resources, Business or related field.
* Must have the ability to communicate effectively, both written and oral.
* Ability to collaborate well with others.
* Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
