Job Description

BACKGROUND
Edgemoor Infrastructure & Real Estate (Edgemoor) is a leading
developer of public infrastructure. Edgemoor offers creative
turnkey development services for both the public and private
sector. We create value for clients by taking a "hands on" approach
to management and development that's both flexible and
responsive.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Edgemoor is looking for a Development Associate for the KCI New
Terminal Project at the Kansas City International Airport, in
Kansas City, Missouri. Reporting to a Development Manager, the
primary roles and responsibilities of this position include, but
are not limited to:
I.Support Development Manager in all project elements
II.Work with design manager to complete the project design
III.Coordinate with utility service providers
IV.Manage third-party consultants
V.Provide monthly update reports
VI.Submit monthly payment requisitions
VII.Provide construction oversight, including oversee the work
of the design-builder, change order management, and quality
control
VIII.Coordinate turnover and move-in
IX.Obtain permits and entitlements
X.Public relations / community outreach
QUALIFICATIONS
-Experience developing complicated infrastructure and/or master
development projects, ideally including aviation and
institutional
-Knowledge of the construction and delivery process, including
design-build in the state of Missouri and Kansas City
-Strong communication (written and verbal), organization,
multi-tasking, (including an attention to detail);
-Experience working in fast-paced environments;
-Ability to understand complex legal documents
-Knowledge of real estate finance, public finance and/or project
finance
-Prior experience in working on a full range of development
responsibilities from project conceptualization/planning through
site planning and zoning through construction management;
-Enjoy working on projects where firm serves as a fee
developer;
-Experience in working with public sector clients is a plus.
-Open, team-oriented yet self-starting work style; and
-High ethical standards.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE
5 - 10 years of relevant work experience (Pre or Post graduate
school)
REQUIRED EDUCATION
Undergraduate and/or graduate degree in construction,
engineering, architecture, real estate finance or other relevant
specialization. MBA or equivalent degree preferred.
