Eastman Chemical Company is seeking an Electrical Specialist for its Anniston, Alabama Plant. At this location, the company manufactures a family of industrial heat transfer fluids and aviation hydraulic fluids.

This position is part of the Engineering group and will work to provide electrical, instrumentation, PLC, DCS and technical assistance in support of the day-to-day operations. A large portion of the work also involves support and implementation of improvement projects.

Responsibilities include:

* Work with Engineers, Operators and Electricians to troubleshoot and maintain the electrical, instrumentation and control system in support of the Operating plant.
* Support and maintain Delta V DCS control systems and PLC's.
* Work with Corporate IT resources to support our Servers and other IT equipment.
* Design, program and assist with the installation of Field Instrumentation.
* Work to maintain and upgrade our Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) and Mechanical Integrity (MI) programs in accordance with the applicable sections of OSHA 1910 and ANSI/ISA 84.00.01-2004
* Work to improve reliability of existing systems and perform root cause analysis of the failures and implement improvements.
* Provide technical training to maintenance/production departments to improve their understanding of electrical equipment systems.

Required Knowledge & Skills

* Experience with Allen Bradley and/or Modicon PLCs
* Good planning, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
* Knowledge of technical & manufacturing equipment specifications.
* Detailed knowledge of instrumentation systems and components.
* Good organizational and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to solicit input and support of others at various levels in the organization.
* Experience with SAP maintenance & project systems, as well as skill in other general computer software programs (Word, Excel, etc.).
* Understanding and experience working in a OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM) facility.

Required Experience

* BS in Electrical Engineering Technology or Applied Electronics Engineering. ,
* 0-3 years of Electrical engineering experience to include co-op or intern experience.
