Job Description

The College of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics at Eastern Washington University seeks to fill one or more Lecturer in Electrical Engineering positions in the Department of Engineering & Design to begin September 2015.

We are seeking a broadly trained candidate who will be an inspirational teacher, role model, and mentor and who complements the strengths of our faculty in order to engage in an instructionally intensive undergraduate program in Electrical Engineering. Candidates must demonstrate interest, experience and/or ability in promoting cultural competency and/or diversity.

The successful candidate will have earned by the appointment date a PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field. Candidates with an MS and significant, relevant industrial experience will be considered. A good publication record and successful prior teaching experience is preferred. Primary areas of responsibility include teaching undergraduate electrical engineering courses, with an emphasis in microelectronics, mixed signal design, VLSI, microcontroller system, HDL, and other related topics, curriculum development, and department service. Description of interest and/or experience in online learning, scholarly activity and pursuit of grants, as it pertains to program improvement, is highly encouraged. Additionally, all faculty are expected to engage in effective teaching and assessment of student learning.
