Job Description

Doane University seeks a part-time, Event Coordinator to work on our Crete, NE campus. This position is responsible for coordinating and supporting external events, including summer conferences, and directly planning and executing several specific high-quality internal campus events and ceremonies. This position requires some evenings and weekends. The typical schedule for this position is 20 hours a week, Monday-Friday.


* BA or AA in communications, public relations, hospitality, or equivalent field preferred.
* Professional experience in planning and executing successful events required.
* Proficient in MS Office and Gmail required.
* Working knowledge of event planning software and electronic calendaring preferred.
* Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
* High degree of attention to detail required.
* Solid oral and written communication skills.
* Ability to work in a team environment, working both independently or with little supervision.
* Participate in professional growth opportunities.
* Valid Nebraska Driver's License and a driving record acceptable to the college's automobile insurance provider.
