As a Software Engineer in Test, you will have the opportunity to design and build products from the ground up. Your focus will be on developing tools and solutions rather than fixing or finding bugs. Your job is to accelerate product development by helping developers and testers help themselves. You will be part of an agile engineering team that collaborates on problems in various areas such as machine learning, business intelligence, mobile, web, game console, content delivery, network protocols and cloud technologies. Disney Software Engineers in Test build tools and solutions that ensure the delivery of high quality software for the entire Walt Disney Company. Responsibilities Build tools to be used by our Web, Mobile and Console Functional QA Teams. Build test automation suites to ensure the quality of guest impacting products. Research and introduce new technologies and ideas. Analyze complex systems, identify points of failure and design a strategy for mitigating risk. Basic Qualifications 3+ Years relevant internship or work experience including software development and/or test automation experience. Preferred Qualifications Deep knowledge of internet, mobile or console technologies. Strong scripting skills in at least one common language (Python, Perl, Shell, JavaScript) Strong coding skills in Object Oriented languages Experience in Web Services using REST, SOAP, XML, or JSON Experience using Webdriver on web and mobile devices Familiar with Testing Frameworks such as Junit or TestNG Familiar with Agile Software Development Familiar with Continuous Integration, Atlassian products, Repository use Familiar with Load Testing methods and tools High proficiency in Unix/Linux and Windows environments.
