Hiring Department: Nursing, College of Nursing & Professional Disciplines

Minimum Hiring Salary/Position Classification: $40,000/Annual, Full-Time, benefited, non-exempt.

Benefits: Includes single or family health care coverage (premiums paid for by the university), basic life insurance, EAP, retirement plan, tuition waiver, annual and sick leave. Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

The mission of the College of Nursing and Professional Disciplines (CNPD) is to prepare future leaders, to advance human well-being and improve quality of life for diverse populations, with an emphasis on rural communities in North Dakota, the region and beyond, through the provision of high-quality innovative inter-professional education, research and service. The CNPD is comprised of three departments: Nursing, Nutrition & Dietetics, and Social Work.

The Department of Nursing Assistant Clinical Placement Coordinator's primary responsibility is to assist the Clinical Placement Coordinator in the placement of undergraduate and graduate students in clinical experiences, in the facilitation of clinical agreements, and in maintenance of data for reporting.

Duties and Responsibilities (not all inclusive):

Clinical Placement

* Assist in facilitation of individual student placements and work with agencies to schedule clinical experiences.
* Assist in tracking and communicating appropriate documentation to clinical agencies regarding practicum placements and student verifications.
* Provide assistance in arranging relationships with clinical agencies for placement of nursing students at all degree levels.
* Provide administrative support for the facilitation of affiliation agreements.
* Gather information and update list of approved facilities and preceptors as necessary.
* Assist in tracking Board of Nursing requirements and the production of necessary annual Board of Nursing reports.
* Assist in maintenance of all records related to clinical placements, including data tracking "systems," providing reports to administration for completion of necessary reports.
* Provide administrative support for the evaluation of clinical sites.

Student Support

* Track student adherence to clinical requirements including CPR, health clearances, background checks, drug screening, immunizations, etc.
* Prepare orientation materials and schedule orientation sessions as appropriate.
* Assist students with clinical logs as appropriate.
* Support, counsel and assist students with their clinical questions and concerns.

Administrative Support

* Coordinate with online program management partners as necessary.
* Gather data and create reports as necessary.
* Facilitate communication between placement staff, student services staff, faculty and administration.


Minimum Requirements:

* Associate's degree.
* One year of successful experience with office systems and computer applications for data management.
* 2-3 years of experience in a healthcare setting.
* Successful completion of criminal history background check.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience with preceptor management.
* Clinical experience as a registered nurse.
