Transportation Staff Engineer

Dewberry is seeking a Transportation Staff Engineer for its New York, NY office. The team player we seek must have a BS/MS degree in Civil/Transportation Engineering and 4-7 years of experience with NYC/NYSDOT or similar public agency and municipal projects. The candidate will be responsible for document preparation and production, monitoring budgets and schedules. The ability to interact well with client management teams is essential. Experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation and Primavera / Microsoft Project Software is a plus.


* Assigns tasks to and coordinates with entry-level engineers, technicians or administrative staff.
* Assists in determining schedule and budget requirements.

Required Skills & Required Experience

* BS/MS degree in Civil Engineering
* EIT is required
* NY State PE is a plus
* 4-7 years experience in transportation, highway and street design, or closely related engineering field
* 3D design experience is preferred (InRoads and/or Civil 3D software).
* Experience in the following technical areas: Experience with AutoCAD and MicroStationExcellent interpersonal skills
* Street/highway design,
* Vertical and horizontal alignments,
* Traffic Engineering,
* Pavement section design,
* Drainage system design.
* Excellent interpersonal skills.
* Local Experience is highly preferred.
