Dewberry is seeking a Structural Project Engineer with 5-10 years of experience to work in its New Haven, CT office. The successful candidate will be part of a team designing bridge replacement and rehabilitation projects using AASHTO LRFD Specifications. The selected person will be responsible for performing complex structural calculations, preparation of contract documents, review of shop drawings and providing technical support during the construction phase. In addition, we would like the candidate to also perform safety inspections of bridges and preparation of reports involved in the development of contract plans, the preparation of engineer's estimates and construction specifications and performing construction support services as well as construction inspection of transportation projects but it is not a requirement. Proficiency in Microstation and experience with ConnDOT Design Standards and performing bridge safety inspections are highly desirable. The candidate should possess or be able to obtain a PE license in CT in the near future. The candidate will be expected to support marketing and business development efforts as needed.

Responsibilities..Required Skills & Required Experience

* BS in Civil Engineering
* MS Degree in Structural Engineering is a plus
* 5 to 10 years of Structural experience
* CT PE License is preferable
* Good oral and written communication skills
* Proficiency using CADD (Microstation preferred)
* A desire to work in a team environment
