Dewberry is seeking an Electrical Engineer with at least 2 years of electrical engineering experience principally for its water and wastewater planning, design, and construction administration practice.

Responsibilities

* Development and Coordination of Contract Drawings, Specifications, Construction Cost Estimates, Reports and Studies
* Industrial power design including low voltage electrical power distribution (medium voltage power distribution a plus), equipment sizing, development of single line diagrams and equipment layouts
* Motor controls design including development of control schematics and interlocks, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and solid state reduced voltage (SSRV) starters
* Lighting design including photometric calculations and layouts
* Firm working knowledge of hard-wired and wireless supervisory, control, and data acquisition (SCADA) systems
* Inter-disciplinary reviews and coordination of electrical design with mechanical, process and other disciplines
* Construction phase services including electrical equipment submittal reviews, periodic site visits, start-up/check-out (SUCO)

Required Skills & Required Experience

* BS in Electrical Engineering (additional degrees a plus).
* 2 years of electrical engineering experience.
* Candidate must have good working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Codes and Standards, and other related codes.
