Job Description

Entry-Level Landscape Design Assistant/Drafter

We are looking to add a talented designer/drafter to our team. Depending on the candidate’s experience and schedule, this could be a part time or a full time position. The candidate will need to be able to work a minimum of 24 hours per week within the office (working remotely is not considered).

Primary responsibilities include generating AutoCAD schematic, design development, and construction documents. In addition, the candidate will be expected to provide general support and assistance to other members of the team. Additional duties are flexible based on candidate’s experience and interests. This provides the candidate with the opportunity to learn all parts of the design process as he or she will provide a supporting role in producing all landscape plans and construction details.

Ideally the candidate will have a landscape architectural background. However, experienced AutoCAD drafters in related fields are encouraged to apply. Candidates who do not possess a background in landscape architecture are expected to quickly develop a basic understanding of landscape design principles as related to the creation of construction drawings.

Landscape Architect

We have a full-time position open to join our team of landscape architects and design professionals. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of working experience in a landscape architecture firm and possess the ability to work independently and efficiently on multiple projects simultaneously. We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven landscape designer with great communication and organizational skills.

Description of duties include, but are not limited to: preparing plans and documents from schematic phases through construction administration, performing takeoffs for cost estimates and bid packages, measuring sites, supporting design-build projects, and assisting in general office and in-the-field needs. Candidate is expected to work with the project team and assume responsibility for the production and coordination for multi-disciplinary projects. CAD file management and file sharing skills are essential for the position.

Responsibilities/Qualifications required for both positions:
- Ability to multitask and work on multiple projects simultaneously while communicating and coordinating with project team members
- Great communication and organization skills
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Strong AutoCAD experience with a proficiency in managing large drawings files with multiple reference files
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite programs and Sketchup is a plus
- Bachelors/master's degree in Landscape Architecture
