Maternal Nursing - Full Time Faculty

Full-time Faculty Positions

Full-time faculty positions will be posted on a per-opening basis. Postings are organized by college/school and department. Applicants will be evaluated at the college/school level for the position which they are submitting an application. Unless noted by a close date, positions will remain open until they are filled. Qualified applicants are encouraged to apply.

Part-time Faculty Opportunities

DePaul University invites expressions of interest for a pool of qualified Part Time Faculty to teach courses in a variety of disciplines across all 10 colleges and schools. Individuals may enter expressions of interest by submitting their credentials to any posting for which they are qualified to teach. Postings are organized by college/school and department. Screening of individuals in the pool is ongoing, depending on curricular need and funding. Individuals will be contacted by the department if they reach the finalist stage for teaching a particular course or set of courses. The pool will remain in place until the closing date specified in the posting details; those interested in remaining in the pool beyond that time must resubmit. All individuals in the pool will be notified by email when the posting is closed.

The School of Nursing seeks a full-time faculty member to teach maternal and women's health related content, in the Master's Entry to Nursing Practice Program. This entry to practice program provides students with the necessary skills and knowledge to enter the field of nursing, and sit for licensure as a registered nurse.

The position requires instruction and coordination of a maternal health content focused course along with provided leadership for up to six clinical/adjunct faculty per quarter to maintain quality and consistency.

Faculty hired for this position will be expected to:

* Provide classroom instruction in maternal health nursing.
* Develop course material for use in classroom instruction.
* Coordinate with simulation coordinator in developing formative experiences to enhance student learning.
* Provide office hours at time accessible to students and reviewing material as appropriate with students.
* After the first year, the faculty member will advise a roster of students as assigned.

Required Qualifications

* Master's (or higher) degree in Nursing
* Two years of full-time clinical experience as a Registered Nurse
* Eligible for unencumbered licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Illinois

Preferred Qualifications

Experience teaching in the classroom setting.

Experience with curricular development and evaluation.
