Summary

This position is located in the Office of the Administrator, Office of Workforce Investment (OWI), Employment & Training Administration (ETA), U.S. Department of Labor (DOL), OWI responsible for providing national leadership, oversight, policy guidance and technical assistance to the ONE-Stop system and the youth and adult employment and training programs funded under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunities Act.

Position is Outside the Bargaining Unit

Responsibilities

Manage high volume of high priority documents, including quality assurance, adherence to ETA and Departmental standards, and directing questions and routing correspondence. Act as a confidential assistant, appropriately handling, routing, and protecting sensitive documents for attention of Administrator and front office, preparing logistics for meetings including preparing confidential information as needed. Track office's salaries and expenses budget, including purchases and travel. Manage office's paper and electronic records, space, and equipment.

Qualifications

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:

Applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, GS-9, in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is defined as experience that has provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of a Staff Assistant. Specialized experience is defined as:

Must have some experience supporting a manager, team, or executive, specifically in tracking expenses or correspondence.
