Established in 1912, the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation (BWC) is the exclusive provider of workers' compensation insurance in Ohio and serves 242,000 public and private employers. We are seeking an experienced candidate to serve as an intern in the Special Investigations Unit. The intern will assist the Special Investigations supervisor and staff with investigations to document the degree of fraudulent activity by utilizing available resources to gather information for case support (i.e. telephone inquiries, correspondence, shadow investigators conducting surveillance & undercover activities).

The intern must currently be enrolled in a relevant educational program. Relevant majors include criminal justice, criminology, psychology, and/or sociology.

Preference will be given to students in their senior year of their undergraduate program or enrolled in a graduate program.

Projected Schedule

A maximum of 29 hours per week. Ohio BWC is open 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday. Work is performed on-site during those hours.
