Job Description

The selected individual will assist DENSO electronic system engineering department with such responsibilities as: Understanding vehicle architectures and systems integration, assisting in performance level benchmarking, and competitive analysis of cockpit systems such as In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) and meter. Depending on experience level, other tasks may involve supporting cockpit product launch from system perspective. Daily tasks will involve working with and supporting system engineers, as well as taking direction and working autonomously on cockpit system related assignments. This may involve understanding and working from defined project requirements to implement and test integrated software and electronic hardware solutions. Collaborating with and working in a dynamic, small team environment. The candidate will be immersed in an environment that exposes them to the latest innovative technology involving navigation, audio, cellular communications, speech recognition, traffic information, vehicle networking, and connected services.

Position requires sophomore or junior students preferably pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or possibly Computer Engineering. Familiarity with the latest device like smart phone, the ability to understand and create Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio tools are required. Knowledge or exposure in one or more of the following areas will be helpful: Evaluation of software, real-time operating systems such as Linux, or Japanese language (communication may occur with headquarters in Japan). Position slated to start ASAP.
