Junior Acquisition Analyst

Position Details:

DELTA Resources, Inc. has been tasked to provide broad support to NAVSEA in the areas related to Ship Project Planning and Financial Execution; GFE Acquisition, Delivery and Production Management; and Program and Configuration Management.

Primary responsibilities:

* Provide technical analysis in the preparation of Ship Project Directive (SPD) Part III based on changes to approved budgets, configuration baselines, shipbuilding profiles, shipbuilding contracts and ship production schedules.
* Track the status of GFE material being delivered to shipyards. Coordinate with PARMs to ensure equipment is delivered on time and in correct configuration.
* Prepare, maintain, and update shipbuilding schedules.
* Coordinate with shipyards to determine delivery requirements and determine the status of delivered equipment. Assist in the tracking and delivery of missing material.
* Assist in offsite inventories of equipment stored at shipyard warehouses.
* Track Government Furnished Information (GFI), provide reports and maintain a database for each program tracking GFI.
* Support Participating Acquisition Resource Manager (PARM) Reviews, Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) Production Reviews, and Shipping Readiness Reviews. This support shall include: identifying and analyzing cost, schedule, technical, quality, and integrated logistics support issues and risks, providing recommendations to resolve or mitigate the issues and risks, preparing meeting minutes and action items for each event.
* Review and analyze PARM acquisition plans, planned contract award dates and required GFE delivery dates as specified in SPD Part III's and the Schedule A through E of applicable shipbuilding contracts.
* Track the status of GFE procurements throughout the acquisition process.
* Conduct analyses to determine GFE cost and schedule impacts associated with program or policy changes directed by higher authority.
* Ensure the government database of GFE delivery, contract, point of contact, and other information is accurate and continually up to date.

Required skills / experience:

* 1 to 2 years of DOD GFE acquisition experience
* Experience working with GFE systems
* Experience with Microsoft Office products
* Good writing and data analysis skills
* DOD Secret Clearance

Preferred:

* Bachelor degree
* Experience with Microsoft SharePoint
