17:NEM-039: Junior Engineer

Geographic LocationWashington, DCEmployment StatusFull TimePosition Funded?NoRequisition Code17:NEM-039 Job ResponsibilitiesDELTA is seeking a Junior Engineer to provide support to NAVSEA.

The candidate will effectively implement and ensure that the Government's high standards of performance are met, to include, but not be limited to contractual requirements and timely delivery of high-quality products.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Assists in the design, development, troubleshooting, and analysis of engineering programs.
* Performs entry level engineering and technical-related functions, ranging from administrative support to basic analysis.
* Assists in the analysis of existing systems and the definition, design, and development of new system requirements.
* Assists with development and validation of engineering processes and products, ranging from small component designs to large-scale plant, machinery, vehicles, or systems.
* Contributes to any/all stages of the product lifecycle, from research and development to design and manufacture, through to installation, testing, and final commissioning.

QualificationsRequired Qualifications:

* Bachelors degree in Engineering, or related field, or one (1) or more years demonstrated experience and knowledge in DoD engineering processes.
* The candidate must be a self-starter, and be able to work independently with a minimum of supervision.
* Strong Working Knowledge of Microsoft OFFICE Products (WORD, POWERPOINT, EXCEL, OUTLOOK, PROJECT)
* Active DoDSECRET Security Clearance or ability to obtain one.

* Experience in technical program planning and implementation a plus.
