VMware Global Services is reimaging the customer experience and innovating through digital transformation. We are seeking a Business Analysts for our strategy team to help define and execute our cloud-centric company vision. This role will be paired with the Director of Cloud Support Strategy and together you will imagine what is possible, identify opportunities, analyze tradeoffs, and build a fact-based execution plan to achieve our global priorities. You will work with experts across the company gathering and analyzing information, formulating and testing hypotheses, coordinating actions, communicating recommendations and driving execution. This role requires a centralized view of all initiatives, execution of decisions and interdependence for delivering against our strategic objectives.

Key Competencies:

* Creative problem solver with the ability to think beyond existing people, process and infrastructure to envision the best experience, while meeting internal efficiency goals
* Ability to keep pace with the ever growing and highly dynamic cloud market
* Excellent critical thinking skills; can break down ambiguous problems into concrete, manageable components and think through analysis and next steps
* Demonstrated aptitude for analytics and data visualization through graphs, charts and diagrams
* Ability to identify gaps, collect data, establish facts, draw conclusions and solve problems
* Can work effectively across a diverse group of stakeholders at all levels in the organization and drive items to completion
* Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders to drive consensus

Job Responsibilities:

* Work with cross-functional teams to understand challenges, collect data and perform fact-based analysis
* Provide clarity and guidance to key business stakeholders on support readiness needs (coverage models, workflows, headcount projections, technical considerations)
* Identify critical questions, data gaps, and other criteria required for decision making
* Create tradeoff analysis with ROI plans
* Work closely with key strategy people in pricing, engineering, IT, operations and sales to inform decisions and interlock on business analysis
* Seek and compile competitive intelligence to identify industry trends and best practices on a regular basis
* Help define Global Services roles of the future based on company, solution and market trends

Skills Needed:

* Undergraduate and MBA degree, or have 1 -3 years of work experience after completing your undergraduate degree
