Job Description


As a Test Engineer you are primarily responsible for black-box, grey-box and white-box testing; both manual and automated. You may be asked to perform basic software engineering tasks depending on the needs of your team and your skill-level. Test Engineers are responsible for ensuring their team's work has been adequately tested to meet the team's definition of done.


Establish User Personas in collaboration with Product Management and team - Facilitate the decomposition of business requirements, into Use Cases and Acceptance Criteria - Document and execute Acceptance Tests - Contribute to the maintenance of DealerSocket's test case library - Coordinate and execute Risk Based Regression Testing activities for your team - Participate in Deployment Testing exercises as needed - Automate Acceptance Tests when/where possible


Education : Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience and knowledge


- Software Testing and/or Software Engineering experience

- SDLC in an Agile/ SCRUM environment Skills & Expertise (Entry Level):

- C# .NET 4.0 Framework or higher

- LINQ, Generics, Lambda expressions

- Web Services and serialization, XML, JSON, SOAP, WCF, REST

- Test Case Management

- Test Automation

- Unit testing

- SQL Server 2008/2012 and the SQL language

- JavaScript (Angular and/or Knockout JavaScript libraries), jQuery, Bootstrap

- HTML5 and CSS3

- Test Case Management, Defect Tracking and Quality Reporting

- Test automation tools, frameworks and languages such as Selenium, Cucumber, Specflow, Gherkin, Jasmine.

- Agile Software Testing - Continuous Delivery - DevOps - Customer Relationship Management Other Abilities: - Accuracy and Attention to Detail - Professional demeanor

PHYSICAL DEMANDS (TRAVEL, ETC.) - Required to participate in Major Releases (mandatory from office headquarters). - May be required to participate in Maintenance Releases (remotely or from office headquarters).
