Job Description

Associate Software Engineer I is an entry level position which offers paid on-site training, career development workshops, team building and best of all - practical application of industry leading tools and technologies.

Essential Job Duties

Complete DealerSocket's on-site ASE training program.

Troubleshoot and solve basic code level problems quickly and efficiently

Follow and understand established coding standards and practices

Practice Agile principles

Participate as a contributing member of an Agile Team Solve complex software engineering tasks

Create automated unit and integration tests

Communicate effectively with humans and robots

Stay current with industry standard tools and technologies

Collaborate with team to deliver quality software every sprint

Coordinate and participate in risk-based regression testing for a SCRUM Team

Participate in Deployment Testing exercises as needed



Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience or equivalent knowledge

Experience Entry level position - no prior professional programming necessary.

You will remain in this position a minimum of 3 months but could be as long as 6-12 months depending on your speed to certifying and qualifying to work your own stories within the scrum team without pair programming or mentoring. Agile/SCRUM

Skills & Expertise (Entry Level)

Exposure or experience with the following languages: C# .NET LINQ, Generics, Lambda expressions Web Services and serialization, XML, JSON, SOAP, WCF, REST Unit testing SQL Server and the SQL language JavaScript (Angular and/or React JavaScript libraries), jQuery, Bootstrap HTML5 and CSS3

Available to solve critical issues as necessary ASE's must become certified through DealerSocket's on-site training program
