Software Programmer III
JavaScript, C# and .Net Framework

David Evans and Associates is currently seeking a Software Programmer III to join our project team with our client in Portland, OR. The Software Programmer III will develop commercial applications using JavaScript, C# and .net framework.

Position Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Develop and support commercial applications. Interface with customers to understand their processes and requirements and be able to translate a set of requirements into computer source code using the software tools provided on a Windows platform. Produce technical documentation and articulate technical information with both functional and technical team members to facilitate knowledge transfer. Function as a team member in performing project application design and development tasks. Perform analysis, design, development, and testing project tasks, and analysis and resolution of maintenance issues. Coordinate, report status on the design, development and testing of new custom software system. Design and develop thorough unit tests. Troubleshoot application and database problems in applications written in ASP.NET, and C#.NET using SQL data. Distinguish key interactions and dependencies among enterprise applications. Communicate with a wide variety of technical and business experts in both individual and group settings. Enhance and fix bugs in existing business applications. Create professional web application layouts that are consistent, intuitive, and easy to use. Perform design, programming and testing tasks from the project plan to the same level of quality as fellow team members. Analyze, test, and apply changes to the application environment under the prevailing change management procedures and requirements.


Position Requirements:
Undergraduate, Graduate or Post-Graduate College Degree - Information/Computer Technology or related field is required. 10+ years experience in Information/Computer Technology is required; must include 10+ years demonstrated applications design & development experience Five or more years in ASP .NET programming using Microsoft Visual C#, and Microsoft SQL Server (2005 or greater) or Oracle (8i or greater) is required. Expert knowledge of ASP .NET, C#, and JavaScript is required. Demonstrated experience with Visual Studio (2008 or greater) and Microsoft Team Foundation Services is required. Demonstrated experience performing analysis, design, development, and testing project tasks, and analysis and resolution of maintenance issues is required. Demonstrated experience in usability standards and guidelines, development of business logic, and data access layers using C#, ASP .NET, JavaScript and SQL server programming is required. Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) is preferred.
General Requirements :
Must be proficient in ASP, HTML, CSS, and XML. Must be proficient in MS Visual Studio 2008 or greater. Must be proficient in graphical user interface design & usability. Must be proficient in developing well-tuned, complex SQL and stored procedures for Oracle or SQL Server. Strong in oral and written communications. Knowledge of the utility industry, specifically billing. Experience with custom .NET web development. Knowledge of system performance and tuning. Experience with a version control system, preferably Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS). Experience with Crystal Reports XI or 2008. Knowledge of database design and modeling. Experience with Agile / Scrum teams Experience with all phases of Systems Development Life Cycle including maintenance Possess technical documentation and communication skills sufficient to perform knowledge transfer to fellow programmers once the application is completed and deployed to production. Ability to interface with the customers to understand their processes and requirements and be able to translate a set of requirements into computer source code using the software tools provided on a Windows platform.
