Job Description

Overnight Shift:  11:00 P.M. to 7:00 A.M.


  • Complies with Dart Container's policies and procedures.
  • Unloads assorted production and materials received from trailers. Items may be unloaded manually, or with the use of a fork-lift or clamp-truck.
  • Receives and unloads film and corrugated board from outside vendors.
  • Unloads all non-hazardous materials to include oils and non-flammable chemicals.
  • Disposes of packing/shipping materials properly.
  • Coordinates with Receiving Supervisor regarding receiving needs.
  • Inspects forklift/clamp-truck at the beginning and end of each shift and completes the "Electric Truck Driver's Daily Check Sheet."
  • Changes forklift and clamp-truck batteries as necessary.
  • Performs general housekeeping.
  • Conducts physical inventory of product and materials throughout the warehouse.
  • Assists with the movement of materials and product throughout the plant as needed.

Core Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate must possess all of the following:

  • Six (6) months shipping/receiving experience, including experience loading/unloading trucks
  • Experience using a forklift preferred.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain OSHA forklift certification through Dart.
  • Ability to utilize equipment including dock plates/leveler, hand carts, hydraulic pallet jacks, batteries, battery chargers, and brooms
  • Ability to apply and understand addition, subtraction, multiplication and division in order to determine the amount of product or materials to place in or remove from area.
  • Demonstration of minimum proficiency with the English language in order to ensure effective new hire training and on-going communications about safety and quality issues
