Job Description

Shift: 12 hr Nights

Supervisor :  Joe Rhodes

Day-to-Day Role:

  • Comply with good manufacturing practices (GMP’s) as required.
  • Comply with Dart Container’s policies and procedures.
  • Maintain product quality, safety and legality.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment as needed/required.
  • Keep RTO, Thermoforming, Extrusion, Reclaim and Lid Line up and running during production hours.
  • Test and maintain gas detection system.
  • Adjust and maintain blending system.
  • Perform changeovers on extruders, lid line and thermoformers.
  • Conduct daily walk-throughs.
  • Document Covered Process.
  • Unload butane truck.
  • Maintain PLC & Electronic systems.
  • Read FDIN/Lids schematics and drawings.
  • Relieve Lid Line IP’s as needed.
  • Relieve Extrusion Operators and Lid Line Operators as needed.
  • Cross train into other FDIN/Lid Line areas as needed.
  • Communicate problems/issues to supervisor and or manager.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.

Core Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate must possess all of the following:

  • Demonstration of minimum proficiency with the English language in order to ensure effective new hire training and on-going communications about safety and quality issues
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
  • Ability to work weekends as needed
  • Two (2) years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • One (1) year electrical experience
  • Six (6) months PLC, pneumatic and hydraulic systems experience
  • Six (6) months experience working with Allen Bradley software
  • Six (6) months experience reading schematics and drawings
  • Six (6) months welding experience
  • Good communication skills
  • Team player
  • Ability to recognize problems/issues and contribute suggested solutions
  • Understand addition/subtraction/multiplication/division/fractions and decimals

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Six (6) month forklift experience
