Job Description

Day-to-Day Role:

  • Assist in scheduling, coordinating and assigning tasks to department personnel based on priorities to ensure stations are covered utilizing specifications, blueprints and job orders. Adjust work procedures in order to meet production schedules. Follow up on work that has been completed.
  • Routinely inspect building, departments and machinery in order to generate work requests. Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment in order to increase efficiency of department or work crew.
  • Assist and direct workers in all phases of electrical maintenance and repair to machinery and equipment including electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical problems. Also, assist with rebuilds, modifications related to the process.
  • Maintain all machine parts including meeting with vendors, keeping requisitions of ordered parts and tracking spare parts.
  • Train electricians in most job skill areas and maintain documentation of training completed.
  • Communicate with supervisor any machine problems, personnel issues, status of work in progress, scheduling changes, and special problems as they arise within the department which may affect the overall operations of the plant.
  • Communicate company policies and procedures for workers and enforce safety regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Core Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate must possess all of the following:

  • Demonstration of minimum proficiency with the English language in order to ensure effective new hire training and on-going communications about safety and quality issues
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
  • Ability to work weekends as needed
  • One of the following:
    • Five (5) years industrial electrical experience
    • BS in Electrical field
    • Technical school degree
  • Ability to read pneumatic and hydraulic blueprints
  • Leadership experience
  • Good communication skills
  • Math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
