Job Description

The Technology Specialist coordinates and manages day to day information technology requirements and both short term and long term projects for the plant location.

Day-to-Day Role:

  • Comply with good manufacturing practices (GMP) as required.
  • Comply with Dart Container's policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate with local and corporate staff to address Service Desk tickets. Create, track, and close tickets using the software.
  • Ensure all new and used computer systems are set up within the corporate IT standards. Ensure all printer and network connections are operational as requested by the end user and approved by management.
  • Administer and deliver Information Technology support to end users. Instructs users in the basic operations.
  • Configure and update computer equipment to ensure corporate standards and security measures are being met.
  • Maintain proficiency in various hardware and software diagnostic troubleshooting techniques, including plant-specific systems. Respond to local and corporate troubleshooting needs.
  • Provide project and end user support, including evenings and weekends.

Core Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate must possess all of the following:

  • Demonstration of minimum proficiency with the English language in order to ensure effective new hire training and on-going communications about safety and quality issues.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Ability to work weekends as needed.
  • Two (2) years of help desk and/or technician experience servicing networked hardware and software or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office programs.
  • Associate’s or Technical Degree in Information Technology preferred.
  • Previous SAP or similar ERP experience preferred.
