Job Description

Day-to-Day Role:

  • Follow practices and processes intended to provide safe products that comply with appropriate laws and regulations, meet the company quality standards, and serve the needs of our customers.  This includes a commitment to a process of continuous improvement.
  • Operate machinery to safely run at the best possible production and efficiency rates while maintaining acceptable quality.
  • Document frequent quality checks on Quality Control documentation.
  • Respond to Inspector/Packer needs and quality issues.
  • Monitor packaging materials.
  • Maintain equipment, area cleanliness, eliminate safety hazards and follow Good Manufacturing practices.
  • Check schedules for job runs and ensure proper materials are run.
  • Coordinate with Inspector/Packers on any special runs or quality issues.
  • Maintain logs of production, problems and cycle times.
  • Change film as needed.
  • Assist Inspector/Packers and Material Handler personnel, perform back up duties as necessary. 
  • Perform other duties within the employee’s training and skills as directed by the Supervisor and/or Manager.


Core Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate must possess all of the following:

  • One (1) year of machine operation experience: industrial maintenance, auto/diesel mechanic, heavy equipment operator, or CNC operator.
  • Math skills to include simple addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
  • SAP experience, preferred
  • Experience working in a factor, preferred
  • Six (6) months of electrical experience preferred
  • Six (6) months of PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) preferred
  • Six (6) months of plumbing, fabrication, welding and hydraulics preferred
  • Demonstrate minimum proficiency with the English language in order to ensure effective new hire and ongoing communications about safety and quality issues.
