Job Description

This position is for 12 hour nights (7P-7A).

Day-to-Day Role:

  • Comply with good manufacturing practices (GMP) as required.
  • Comply with Dart Container’s policies and procedures
  • Maintain consistent quality of product, machine efficiencies, and the electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic maintenance of production equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repairing problems with molding machines and all other production equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and/or machine set-ups on the production equipment.
  • Change films and film adjustments on baggers.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, rebuild parts, and repair of any process equipment that is exhibiting quality or efficiency defects.
  • Communicate necessary job related information with departments and employees.
  • Maintain equipment, work areas and departmental cleanliness while eliminating safety hazards.
  • Knowledge of and adherence to all aspects of QC standards, procedures and documentation requirements.
  • Perform other tasks within the employee’s training and skills as directed by supervision or Management.

Core Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate must possess all of the following:

  • Demonstrate minimum proficiency with the English language in order to ensure effective new hire training and on-going communications about safety and quality issues.
  • Two (2) years industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience required.
  • Two (2) years’ experience troubleshooting pneumatic, mechanical and/or electrical systems.
  • Two (2) years’ experience with basic hand tools, plumbing, gears, bearings, motors, and chain drives.
  • Ability to read schematics and equipment prints.
  • Experience working with analog and PLC controls, pressure gauges, regulators, solenoids, valves, cylinders, chain drives, pumps, motors and multi-meters preferred.
  • Knowledge and ability to operate expansion systems.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a forklift license
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
  • Ability to work weekends as needed
  • Must have a proven record of stable employment
