Job Description

The Electro-Mechanical/Engineering intern will assist with process and machinery projects and process improvements.

Day-to-Day Role:

  • Comply with good manufacturing practices (GMP) as required.
  • Comply with Dart Container's policies and procedures.
  • Comply with Dart Container's corporate priorities: Safety, Quality, Service, and Efficiency.
  • Assist department with hands-on electro-mechanical projects including troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and process improvements.
  • Participate in analysis of production data and results.
  • Assist operators, maintenance mechanics, and process technicians with duties as needed.
  • Review and update SOPs and documentation.

Core Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate must possess all of the following:

  • Demonstration of minimum proficiency with the English language in order to ensure effective new hire training and on-going communications about safety and quality issues.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • Must have current post-secondary student status in Technical program, Associate's Degree, or Bachelor's Degree program related to Industrial Maintenance/Technology, Electro-Mechanical, or Engineering.
  • Must be available to work at least 15 hours per week.
  • Must have one (1) year computer experience with Microsoft Excel.
  • Must have analytical skills and strong attention to detail.
