Job Description

Corporate-wide responsibility for EEO/Affirmative Action compliance, employee relations processes, management of unemployment claims processing and coordination of company-wide US employment-based immigration processes.  Develop and implement a company-wide strategy and approach to align employment compliance requirements with business objectives.

Day-to-Day Role:

  • Ensure the fair and equal treatment of all employees and candidates with regard to all aspects of employment, regardless of any protected characteristics
  • Develop processes and procedures designed to ensure compliance with equal opportunity and affirmative action laws and regulations.
  • In consultation with appropriate internal resources, develop a philosophy, processes, and procedures designed to ensure an effective employee relations program
  • Develop and deliver training to HR and management staff related to EEO, affirmative action, employee relations, unemployment claims and US employment-based immigration processes
  • Conduct analysis and provide recommendations related to EEO, affirmative action, employee relations, and unemployment claim data for HR, Legal and management review and action
  • Facilitate coordination of Dart’s US employment-based immigration filings
  • Facilitate coordination of Dart’s Affirmative Action Plan development using a third party vendor
  • Serve as a liaison between Dart and the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) for all OFCCP-initiated audit activity
  • Oversee the company’s internal FEP/HR audit program and works with Legal and the HR Business Partner group to maintain an effective internal audit program
  • Oversee I-9 and e-Verify compliance
  • Oversee religious accommodation compliance
  • Serve as a standing member of the Fair Employment Practices Committee with representatives from the Legal department and FEP group
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all data and information
  • Plan, direct, supervise, and coordinate work activities of staff
  • Manage employee development, discipline, performance appraisals, and administration of policies
  • Make recommendations regarding hiring, firing, and pay adjustments

Core Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate must possess all of the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology or related field of study
  • Five (5) years of experience developing and monitoring affirmative action plans, including OFCCP compliance evaluation experience
  • Five (5) years of experience conducting and/or managing employee relations investigations
  • Three (3) years of experience developing and delivering one-on-one and group training
  • Two (2) years of supervisory experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills necessary in order to persuade and influence decision making of individuals, groups, or work teams, and to explain difficult issues
  • Organizational skills including the ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines
  • Microsoft Word skills to include the ability to create reports containing graphs and other intermediate functions (e.g., perform mail merge, insert table of contents)
  • Microsoft Excel skills to include the ability to create spreadsheets (e.g., formulas such as V-lookup, graphs, pivot tables)
  • Microsoft PowerPoint skills to include the ability to create presentations and add slides, insert images, move and resize objects
  • Ability to conduct and interpret descriptive and inferential statistics
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to effectively manage and execute multiple tasks and priorities
  • Ability to build successful and effective relationships at all levels of an organization
  • Ability to effectively present to an audience

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree
  • SAP experience
