Job Description

With appropriate license, operates forklift equipment to perform shipping and receiving functions, including sorting and stacking product and movement of finished goods throughout the warehouse. Also, performs customer returns inspection and processing, sortation and pallet/case rework.

Day-to-Day Role:

  • Operate various types of forklift equipment to include but not limited to electric forklifts and electric pallet jacks.
  • Full time forklift operation handling finished goods utilizing Catalyst WMS RF technology.
  • Pull finished goods accurately and load trailers of finished products efficiently and safely.
  • Unload inbound trailers of finished goods, assuring the count and quality, and place it in the appropriate storage area.
  • Responsible for the general maintenance of the forklift, fill out inspection sheets, and report mechanical problems promptly.  Report any damage to racks, columns, and any safety hazards immediately.
  • Operate equipment & perform duties safely at all times and within the operating perimeters of the powered vehicle being driven and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain good housekeeping of equipment and general work area.
  • Stack product in a uniform and damage free condition, reporting all problems to the appropriate people in order to minimize “system” damage.
  • Handle live load LTL’s, parcel shipments, manage and maintain the Repack / Rework area.
  • Perform consolidation moves and cycle counts on inventory as directed by supervisor/group leader.
  • Participate in small group improvement teams.
  • Follow all Company policies, procedures, and all safety guidelines.
  • Attend safety meetings and training as periodically scheduled.
  • Must be able to work overtime when schedule requires it.

Core Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate must possess all of the following:

  • Demonstration of minimum proficiency with the English language in order to ensure effective new hire training and on-going communications about safety and quality issues.
  • Already have or be able to obtain forklift license.
  • Basic forklift knowledge and familiarity.  Previous warehousing and forklift experience a plus.
  • Knowledge of Catalyst WMS RF technology is desired.
