Job Description

Define, develop, test, analyze, and maintain new web applications for internal and external use in support of the achievement of business requirements

Day-to-Day Role:

  • Write, code, test and analyze software programs and applications
  • Project and production support including customizations and applications that provide enhanced business functionality
  • Work with agile development team on release planning, sprint planning, scoping, and engaging with customers
  • Enhance existing programs and systems to correct errors or provide new functions
  • Develop structured programs using the appropriate computer language while adhering to Information Technology's standards
  • Enhance existing programs and systems to correct errors or provide new functions
  • Design and specify test procedures including unit, system, and integration testing
  • Design system and program test data, debug programs using appropriate system tools and ensure system and program results are accurate to meet specifications
  • Provide daily customer and production support including production issues, enhancements, maintenance and training
  • Provide production support

Core Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate must possess all of the following:

  • Requires one of the following:
    • Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in computer science, web development, information systems, or a related field of study and two (2) years of IT experience, OR
    • Associate’s degree with an emphasis in computer science, web development, information systems, or a related field of study and three (3) years of IT experience, OR
    • High school diploma or equivalent and four (4) years of IT experience
  • Two (2) years of experience with each of the following:
    • SharePoint version 2010 or higher
    • HTML
    • CSS
    • JavaScript
    • PowerShell
    • C#
    • .NET framework 4.0 or higher
    • SQL
  • Two (2) years of combined experience with two or more of the following:
    • Remote Event Receivers, Timer Jobs, Event Handlers
    • Visual Studio 2013 or 2015
    • Visual Studio Team Server (VSTS) / Team Foundation Server (TFS) for code versioning
    • SQL Reporting Services (SSRS)
  • One (1) year of experience with JavaScript frameworks
  • Experience with SharePoint out-of-box web parts and add-ins such as CEWP, CQWP, Script Editor, HTML Form, and Filters
  • Excellent verbal and written skills necessary in order to communicate intricate job-related processes to internal and external customers
  • Ability to collaborate with team members
  • Able to give full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, and asking questions as appropriate
  • Ability to effectively manage and execute multiple tasks, projects and priorities
  • Ability to maintain composure and adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced, customer-focused work environment characterized by rapid change, minimal lead times, and multiple competing priorities
  • Up to 5% domestic travel
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license
  • Requires a valid driver’s license and favorable motor vehicle report upon hire
  • Additional work hours including weekends, holidays and on-call as required

  • SharePoint permissions experience
