Job Description

The Manufacturing Systems Engineering team is responsible for innovative and reliable applications that help manufacturing get products introduced and out the door to our customers. You will participate in all phases of software development and contribute to complex Manufacturing Engineering assignments working with Test Engineering, Information Technology and Manufacturing personnel.

This position will :

Assist in all aspects of the software development cycle, including requirements definition, design, development, implementation, installation, maintenance, and documentation. You will confer with system engineers and IT personnel to derive software requirements to obtain information on project capabilities/limitations as well as performance and interface requirements.
The successful candidate will :

Develop software solutions by analyzing system performance standards, conferring with users or system engineers; analyzing systems flow, data usage and work processes; and investigating problem areas.
Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features or to improve its performance.
Debug existing software and correct defects. Identify opportunities and make recommendations for improving system performance.
Assist with developing test procedures for software components as well as software and system documentation.

Required :

US Citizen or Green Card holder.
Bachelor's degree, or currently in the process of obtaining a bachelor's degree, in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
Knowledge and/or experience with Object Oriented programming languages such as C /C#.
Some experience with and/or the desire to learn about relational database management systems such as Oracle.
Knowledge and/or experience with Agile development (SCRUM) and software configuration management procedures and tools such as SVN is a plus.
