Job Title

Transportation Communications Specialist

Job Description Summary

The Transportation Communications Specialist reports to the Transportation Program Manager, supporting the Bay Area Transportation team with day-to-day employee communications and marketing needs. The successful candidate will assist in the development and implementation of marketing initiatives, writing and editing marketing/communications collateral, providing and ensuring excellent customer service, and administering programs, services and events to meet business objectives.

Job Description

Responsibilities

Administration

* Conduct administration of transportation procedures and programs
* Acting as a main point of administrative contact for staff and visitors
* Assist in developing agendas, keeping of meeting minutes and post-meeting communications

Communication

* Draft all day-to-day transportation communications and provide support with greater communications projects
* Work with transportation team and vendor partners to relay information and program updates quickly via various channels

Innovate new approaches for increasing participation in employee commuter programs through communications messaging

* Responsible for monthly bike newsletter

Customer Service

* Lead superb internal customer relations, responding to commute transportation questions and feedback; recommend corrective actions plans to miscommunication issues
* Continue to position the transportation team at LinkedIn as a high-touch team via monitoring/responding to transportation emails and HelpIn tickets and daily engagement with our customers

Event Coordination

* Develop strong internal relationships to collaborate/coordinate with cross-functional teams on transportation events.
* Conduct creative employee engagement events and campaigns to highlight commute programs, and motivate participation
* Represent transportation team at outreach tabling events

Marketing

* Assist with marketing and promotional campaigns and initiatives, which may include writing and/or editing newsletters, developing web content, writing promotional and customer-service email messages, assisting with creation of transportation marketing collateral
* Support new hire and intern orientation by delivering presentations as needed

Data and Strategy

* Work with data analyst to conduct targeted and bay area-wide polls to gather demographic details and customer feedback
* Work with data analyst to analyze survey results, including focus group feedback, to identify trends, topics, and action items to improve existing/future transportation programs

Minimum Qualification

BA/BS degree

Microsoft Office experience: Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Preferred Qualification

Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills

Proven record of providing excellent internal and external customer service

Excellent organizational and prioritization skills

Graphic design abilities with creative and visual skills, with proficiency in Adobe suite programs

Experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign,

Be enthusiastic, cheerful, excellent interpersonal skills and a strong team player

Be willing to take on additional administrative tasks as necessary
