Project Description:
Following designated standards and procedures, applies fundamental engineering principles, procedures and techniques to perform well defined systems engineering assignments related to the development of electronic and software intensive systems and subsystems. This position typically works under general supervision and direction.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Participates in the design of subsystem elements and modification and/or improvements to existing designs for electronic and software intensive systems and subsystems Conducts system and subsystem level testing and prepares related plans, procedures, reports, analyses, and documentation. Obtains, correlates and analyzes technical information to support systems engineering efforts. Assists in preparing design and operational documentation. Participates in analyzing and solving systems engineering problems. Maintains knowledge of and follows applicable policies and procedures governing work assignments. Keeps informed of new developments in systems engineering techniques and advances in technology. May participate in team to solve engineering problems and develop improved engineering processes.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS :

Four-year college degree in electrical engineering or related technical discipline. Effective written and oral communication skills. Ability to use personal computer software such as spreadsheets and word processing programs. Mental ability to perform engineering problem solving and analytical tasks. Must be able to work under project deadlines and associated cost and schedule constraints.
