Job Description

The User Experience Intern will support the execution of user experience projects to improve the online customer experience for lenovo.com globally. This position will work closely with UX project managers, designers and researchers to assist with all aspects of the user experience process including conception/definition, design, testing and research.

Job responsibilities

* Support UX Director and UX Project Managers with ongoing project-related activities including: coordinating execution details between teams, documenting changes and actions, communicating status to teams and following up on tasks and next steps
* Data gathering: collaborate with UX research and data/insight resources to inform scope and definition of projects
* Manage multiple project timelines and calendars, ensuring projects stay on track and expectations are met
* Manage issues and actions to closure
* Organize and collect project assets and ensure distribution to key internal and external teams
* Help with quality assurance and optimization testing activities to improve the quality of user experience initiatives
* Perform competitive analysis of best practices across eCommerce and manufacturing sites to generate ideas for improving the lenovo.com customer experience
* Assist with research tasks to learn what makes a website easy or hard to use by watching people use our site and track where they get confused or succeed
* Make recommendations to improve the lenovo.com user experience.
* Qualifications
* Strong project management and organizational skills to manage many projects with different deadlines
* Ability to easily conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines
* Ability to work on several projects simultaneously with demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks independently
* Fine attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate end-results
* Ability to drive adherence to deadlines with many different teams
* Excellent communication skills are crucial since this position will work with multiple cross-functional teams
* Possess a positive attitude and ability to work in a collaborative and energetic team environment
