Specific Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

As the Financial and Operational Analyst, you will research, analyze and prepare accurate and insightful reporting, input, and summations to help drive the business.

Your Accountabilities in the Role:

* Provide financial input to assist with strategic business decisions, such as potential acquisitions, major capital investments, and significant new product projects
* Provide financial summations, by reviewing financial data/metrics and growing understanding of the operations, to assist with improving business performance
* Manage the financial integration of acquisitions, new product lines, etc. to ensure financial data is reported accurately
* Research, analyze, and prepare accurate and reliable consolidated estimates, reporting, and forecasts, to help ensure financial goals are attained
* Monitored assigned trends/changes in the business environment, including agricultural commodities and key material input prices, to provide financial information to senior management that will help to drive the business.
* Assist in gathering and analyzing market/competitive intelligence, including government sources of information about key customers, suppliers, and peer companies, to provide a summation of the competitive climate and markets that will help guide the business strategy.


Position Requirements:

* Education: BS Degree in Finance or Accounting, with an MBA, CPA, or CMA preferred.
* Experience: 2+ years of financial analysis experience in a large corporation with multiple business units in a manufacturing environment preferred; will train a person with related internships. Public accounting experience would be a plus
* Functional Skills: Strong research, financial analysis & consolidation of data skills required; solid ability to draw conclusions for data points; prefer candidates with a background in the areas of manufacturing finance and costing; strong attention to details, accuracy, and thoroughness are also required in this role
* Technology Skills: Excellent Excel skills required, with some familiarity with manufacturing ERP systems, query tools and report writing preferred.
* Leadership/Behaviors: Self-motivated and driven, with excellent written and verbal communication skills are key to being successful in this role. Must also possess sound judgement to create meaningful data summations.
* Culture Match: Energetic, assertive, high-integrity, team player, who can conceptualize ideas to create results; is also collaborative and can effectively interact with all employee levels of the organization (Sales, Manufacturing, Corporate Management, etc.)

Other Important Information:

Salary: Salary is commensurate with proven expertise.

This position is eligible for bonus & profit sharing! And, the compensation will grow as the team member grows!

Reports To: CEO with heavy interaction with CFO

Core Hours: 8:00 am - 5:00pm (schedule can be flexible; will work approx. 9 hours within this timeframe)

Typical Work Week: M-F; some weekends & OT required (when applicable); 45-50 hours a week on average

Travel: Limited; up to 10%
