About Crozer-Keystone Health System

Crozer-Keystone Health System, headquartered in Springfield, Pa., has a proud and long-standing reputation as a provider of quality care to the residents of Delaware County and other surrounding communities. Our system is committed to improving health and quality of life by providing a full spectrum of services including acute care, wellness and prevention, rehabilitation, restorative care, and long-term care. Our ability to offer the most advanced clinical services in a caring, community-oriented environment is widely recognized. Crozer-Keystone was officially incorporated in 1990, although the individual hospitals of the system constitute centuries worth of history and tradition. As a member of the Crozer-Keystone family for more than 15 years, I have had the opportunity to be involved in the system's birth and steady growth. Today Crozer-Keystone is one of the largest health systems in the Delaware Valley and the major employer and health-care provider in Delaware County. The health system comprises five hospitals; a comprehensive network of primary-care and specialty practices; two regional cancer centers; the Healthplex, a total health and fitness center; and facilities for occupational medicine, community health, transitional care, and long-term care. Our medical staff, employees, and volunteers work together and also collaboratively to address the important health issues of our community. Crozer-Keystone has developed programs to promote immunization, reduce infant mortality, prevent cardiovascular disease and cancer, and encourage fitness and good nutrition. Likewise, our Call Center (1-800-CK-HEALTH) was created to provide patients with easy access to health information and physician referrals. With almost 400 miles of fiber-optic cable linking our facilities and physicians, Crozer-Keystone is a well-integrated health system. In fact, Crozer-Keystone Health System is one of the nation's Top 100 Integrated Healthcare Systems and the recipient of the 2000 VHA Leadership Award for improving clinical effectiveness. In all aspects of health care, Crozer-Keystone strives to take a leadership role and to be an advocate for our patients and families, for our community, and for our employees. By working cooperatively and building long-term relationships, together we have the power to create and maintain healthier, happier lives.
