Job Description

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ALL CANDIDATES: Everyone living in Guernsey aged 16 needs to hold a Certificate or Permit to show that they have permission to live and work in Guernsey. Please note that the Right to Work in the United Kingdom does not equate to a Guernsey Employment Permit. A Guernsey Employment Permit is not currently available for this role.

* An interesting and diverse role supporting the Credit Risk Management department of Credit Suisse in Guernsey undertaking credit risk monitoring, reporting and credit administration;
* Performing analysis of predominantly lombard loans/off-balance sheet credit requests including borrower, client/beneficial owner structure and collaterals;
* Preparing credit applications and renewals for approval by respective competence levels;
* Preparing credit documentation;
* Ensuring timely limit approval/system input/renewal/cancellation;
* Administering the Sub Participation loan book;
* Pro-active management of risks including timely identification of positions at risk, undertaking of appropriate measures and escalation to superior if required;
* Compliance with Global Credit Policy, group-wide credit policies, local policies and regulations;
* Participate in projects and represent Credit Risk Management on group as well as local level as and when required;
* Being part of a highly motivated team in a dynamic and challenging environment.
* You have A Level or equivalent or relevant professional qualification.
* Some experience in credit including knowledge of Lombard Lending would be preferred;
* Understanding and strong interest of financial products;
* Analytical skills, risk awareness and solution oriented;
* Your interpersonal skills and your good communication skills enable you to partner and to build up effective relationships;
* Positive attitude, ability to work efficiently and effectively;
* You are an excellent problem-solver, being able to use good judgement;
* You assume accountability for your actions and results;
* You are committed, motivated and focused to deliver a high level of service.
