Job Title: Human Resources Intern

Location: Los Angeles

Reports To: Human Resources Manager

FLSA Status: Hourly

The Human Resources Intern is an instrumental key contributor with the primarily responsibility to develop training presentations for both union and non-union associates in multi facets of HR policies including golden rules, leave of absence process, etc. This intern will have the opportunity to work in a union environment. This intern will work closely with other managers including Value Stream Managers and Accounting Supervisor. He/she will be reporting to Human Resources Manager.


These responsibilities are few potential projects and expectations. They are subject for modifications, as we get closer to Summer 2019.

* Training Presentations: Develop training materials and conduct presentation to union and non-union associates in regards to HR policies
* Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)- Develop a framework and create an SOP for internship program
* Recruiting and Selection: Document our current recruiting process
* Chronological In-depth Structured Interview (CIDS): Be part and learn CIDS interview process


* Business Manager or Human Resources major
* Must have strong presentation skills and interview skills
* General knowledge of HR policies and practices
* Must have strong interpersonal, listening, verbal and written communication skills
* Must be able to work independently and use good judgement
