Job Description

This posting is to establish a pool of qualified applicants for the 2017-2019 academic year. The department may not be actively recruiting. Your application will remain on file for consideration until June 30, 2019. Student worker will assist in general office duties including answering phones, filing, and giving out program information, assist faculty and staff in helping students in the Applied Technology Learning Center. Must have the ability to work with a diverse student population.


* Filing
* Providing program information
* Office coverage
* Mail pick-up/delivery
* Assisting students in the Applied Technology Learning Center
* Photocopying and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

* Student must have in possession of a Federal Work Study award letter for the 2018/2019 academic year
* Student must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 units
* Student must have a minimum of 2.0 GPA
* Ability to follow directions in order to carry out the duties as assigned
* Familiarity with various tools and/or have completed some courses in Aeronautics, Auto Collision, Auto Repair, Diesel, HVAC/R, Electrical/Electronics, Machining, Water, or Welding programs preferred.

Desired Qualifications:

* Ability to communicate well with students, faculty, and staff
* Punctual and reliable
* Ability to follow directions carefully
* Must have the desire to learn and practice office skills and procedures with minimum supervision.

Hours / Salary:

Maximum of 15 hours per week

Schedule varies (between 7:30 AM thru 10:00 PM) Monday - Friday

$11.00 per hour
