Job Description

About Charles River Associates

For over 50 years, Charles River Associates has been a premier consulting firm that offers employees a place to learn from a diverse group of consultants, industry experts, and academics. At CRA you will be exposed to leading minds who use economic, financial, and business analysis to solve complex real world problems for an impressive roster of clients, including major law firms, Fortune 100 companies, and government agencies. Through a collegial environment, formal and informal training opportunities, and a broad array of professional development resources, your experience at CRA will open doors for you as you launch your career.

CRA's Financial Economics practice provides financial institutions, legal teams, and regulators with the experience and quantitative analysis capabilities they need to achieve their objectives in regulatory and litigation matters related to consumer finance and risk management. The practice applies rigorous statistical modeling techniques to matters involving a full spectrum of financial issues, including, among others, credit risk, credit scoring, lending discrimination, loan servicing, mortgage securitization, indirect auto lending, credit cards, and student lending. In addition, the Financial Economics practice provides assistance in model validation and model development for matters relating to market risk, model risk, and operation risk. The litigation matters involve many of the same underlying issues, and often include analyses of damages. The Financial Economics practice provides regulatory reviews involving federal financial regulatory agencies, including the CFPB, FRB, OCC, FDIC and HUD.

Your Responsibilities

All of our practice areas share common themes: conducting sophisticated economic, financial, and strategic analysis in a project based environment; assembling compelling evidence from data and research that support our expert opinions and business recommendations; and working collaboratively with senior-led teams and clients.

The opportunities to contribute to the team in this role may include (but are not limited to):

* Developing financial and economic analyses or valuation models to support case theories
* Developing familiarity with data that serves as input to this analysis, including company financial reporting, regulatory reporting data, and social and economic survey data as well as non-financial measures of organizational performance
* Interacting with clients, typically by participating in telephone calls and Webex sessions
* Programming, model building, and regression analysis using statistical analysis programs such as Stata, SAS, R, and/or Python. Other programming skills used include SQL, Access, and ArcGIS.
* Ensuring reliability of analysis through quality control review
